As a trusted Zimbabwe partner, Cotecna is mandated by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce to execute the Zimbabwe Consignment Based Conformity Assessment programme for regulated goods. The main objective of this programme is to better protect consumers from substandard, counterfeit and potentially dangerous goods.
Cotecna’s mandate consists of issuing Certificates of Conformity (COC) for Used Motor Vehicles and Used Spare Parts exported to Zimbabwe. Cotecna conducts vehicle inspections in exporting countries, landing ports and at all the major borders before entering Zimbabwe. In case an importer fails to get a Certificate of Conformity, assessment can be conducted in Zimbabwe under the Destination Inspection Scheme.
Under the Zimbabwe CBCA programme the following products qualify for export to Zimbabwe and require a Certificate of Conformity:
Important: Vehicles with altered odometers are not permitted for import. In case of doubt, please contact us to determine if your products are subject to regulation.
Cotecna is a trusted partner to the Zimbabwe government. Our mandate covers the physical and mechanical inspection of used motor vehicles and used spare parts.
After inspecting and assessing the conformity of your shipment, Cotecna will deliver your mandatory Certificate of Conformity.
